The weld penetration is higher than with high-titanium oxide types and lime titania types, so it is suitable for welded joints that need sufficient weld penetration, even thin plate. | Main Points of Work | Excessive current reduces X-ray performance and is the reason for degradation of workability. Hence, use the appropriate current range. Due to excessive absorption of moisture, besides deterioration of workability, pits may also occur. Hence, dehydrate at 70 to 100°C for 30 to 60 minutes. Due to excessive drying (for long period or high temperature), the penetration decreases, X-ray performance deteriorates and causes burning of the bar, even though there is no apparent change in quality. For medium and thick welding, adopt appropriate preheating / inter-path temperature. |
